Workshop for International Students

On May 4, 2016, at 4:00 p.m., the English Language Institute will be giving a free workshop on phrasal verb idioms ("keep up with," "catch up," "run into," "kick off," etc.), which are difficult for non-native speakers to learn.

Second Deadline for Graduation

If you are in a thesis or dissertation program and you missed the deadline for graduation for spring 2016, you may still be able to graduate in summer 2016 without taking thesis/dissertation credit in summer 2016. To apply, download the Second Deadline Application and submit it to the Graduate School by April 29th. Be sure to read all requirements to ensure your eligibility. Contact the graduation specialists if you have any questions.

Assistantship in OIT

OIT is seeking applications for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide technology support to the OIT staff, faculty, and students. This assistantship is a twelve-month, half-time appointment, and carries a stipend and a waiver of tuition and maintenance fees, including the summer session. Associate Dean Receives Award

Congratulations to Dr. Ernest Brothers, the winner of the 2016 Hardy Liston Jr. Symbol of Hope Award at the Chancellor’s Honors Banquet on Tuesday, April 20. Dr. Brothers means so much to our campus. Upcoming Deadlines

For all candidates graduating in spring 2016, April 29th is the deadline for verifying the removal of any incompletes and NR grades with your graduation specialist. Contact or come by the offices at 111 Student Services Bldg.

For candidates in a thesis or dissertation program who missed the deadlines for spring 2016 graduation, April 29th is the deadline for submitting the application for the Second Deadline. If approved, this will allow you to graduate in summer 2016 without registering for thesis or dissertation credit in summer 2016.

April 29th is the last day to defend your thesis/dissertation, if you are applying for the Second Deadline.
